Fred J. Maahs, Jr. was paralyzed in an accident in 1980. He spent a decade adjusting to life with a disability during a time when people who used wheelchairs were unable to access most public buildings, much less public transportation, educational opportunities and employment.
During the course of his career, Fred has become a national leader on issues related to disability in the workplace and accessibility. He is Principal at FJM Solutions and former Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships, Comcast Corporation and Vice President, Comcast Foundation.
Fred's career has included leadership roles with the American Association of People with Disabilities, Easterseals, The Arc of the United States, Disability: IN and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
